Dea Kulumbegashvili, acclaimed Georgian director, will mentor 10 promising European filmmakers in the Future Frames program at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. This initiative, organized by European Film Promotion and the festival, aims to elevate emerging talent by offering professional guidance and industry connections. In a private masterclass, Kulumbegashvili will share her creative path, from directing two award – winning shorts, “Invisible Spaces” (2014) and “Lethe” (2016), to her feature debut “Beginning” (2020). “Beginning” premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and won the Fipresci Prize, alongside the Silver Seashell Jury Prize and Golden Seashell at San Sebastián Film Festival. Her guidance is backed by a proven track record: her films have garnered multiple prestigious awards, reflecting both critical acclaim and industry respect.
